Common and widespread.
Woodland, scrub on chalky soil and fens.

Very few Norfolk records before 2009. It has now become more commonly recorded going from around 10 in 2009 to 1300 by 2021.

Beautiful moth showing variations in forewing colour from intense yellow/green and purple to black and white.

Dark specimens can be confused with Poplar Grey.
